Closing of Col Shashi Memorial U-14 Cricket Tournament

Under the banner of Col Shashi Memorial Cricket Tournament for Under-14, affiliated to the 'Schools' Cricket Federation of India-

Final was played between The Asian School (TAS) and Shiva Cricket Academy (SCA). TAS won the toss and opted to bat first. Dev and Aarv opened the inning but both were never comfortable. Nisha started bowling from the other end. Dev misjudged a ball and was found right infront of the wicket and was declared LBW. Aarav also wasn't at ease. He also hit hard one of Nisha's ball and was beautifully caught by Nisha, unimaginable. Abhuyada did try to repair the inning who made 18. Later hardly much notable was contributed by the batsmen. Samarth made 12 and Yash remained not out on 14 whereas 15 runs were given as extras by SCA. Nisha took 4wickets for 15runs, Faran took 2 and Poorvansh and Suchit took one wicket each. Asian were all out for 84 in 25overs.

Chasing a small target of 104 in 30 overs, SCA was never under any threat. They opened with Vinay and Poorvansh. Vinay was bowled by Abhay when he couldn't even open his account. SCA lost two quick wickets of Vinay and Ankush. But the inning was steadied by Poorvansh and Aditya. Poorvansh made 22 whereas Aditya 21. Later the batsmen slowly worked hard to meet the target after losing 6 wickets in 19.3 overs. Abhinav made 8, Abhishek 6, Arvind and Suchit remained unbeaten with 3 and 5. 19 runs were extra given by The Asian. Abhay took 3 wickets for 23 and Samarth 2 for 9. Thus Shiva Cricket Academy won the tournament.

Aditya Tanwar of SCA was declared as the Best Batsman, Mohd Farhan of SCA as best Bowler, Poorvansh as the Man Of the Series, Abhyudaya as the Best wicketkeeper and Nisha Mishra as the Most Promising Player of the tournament.
