2–1: Victory at the Final Whistle!
The PPSA Under-17 Boys’ Football Final at the Doon Riverside Campus delivered an edge-of-the-seat contest, with both teams battling fiercely until the final whistle. Played on the campus’s impressive ground and excellent sporting facilities, the match lived up to the excitement of a championship final.
Our school was the first to score in the opening half when Prashant Mehra of Class XII found the back of the net, giving his team a well-deserved lead. Tons Bridge, however, came back strongly in the second half and scored the equaliser, setting up a tense and nail-biting moment. With the score locked at 1–1 and the pressure mounting, Brahmadeep Thakur emerged as the hero for our school, scoring the decisive goal to put his team ahead 2–1. The final moments saw both sides fighting hard, but no further goals were scored, sealing a memorable victory for our boys.
The occasion was further graced by the presence of President Sir, Director Madam and Principal Sir, who were present at the venue to encourage and support the young footballers.
