Honouring Maharaja Judha Shumshere through English Oratory
Cambrian Hall conducted the highly anticipated event - the Maharaja Judha Shumshere Memorial Inter-School English Debate on 12th September, 2023. This prestigious event saw students from various schools gather to participate in a passionate debate on "AI is better than Human Intelligence." The esteemed Ms. Irene Chona Khan chaired the event and the Debate was judged by Ms. Anupama Paul, Ms. Navneet Ganguly, and Ms. Diwija Pande, three of the most illustrious of educationists.
Talented debaters showcased their skills and persuasive abilities. Among them, Akshit Garg from St. George’s College, Mussoorie, secured an impressive third place. Yashwardhan Bhansali from Cambrian Hall exhibited exceptional debating skills and claimed the second place. Finally, Adi Uniyal from Grace Academy emerged victorious and secured first place with his impeccable arguments and eloquence.
The competition was intense, and after a series of gripping debates, St. George College, Mussoorie emerged the winner and lifted the coveted team event trophy.
The event was only possible with the dedication and passion of the Department of English at Cambrian Hall. In his Vote of Thanks, the Principal thanked the Chairperson, participants, judges, and organisers for their hard work and commitment in making the event a grand success.
