English elocution focuses on speaking with clarity and confidence, using proper pronunciation and tone to make a strong impact.
During this event, middle school students at Doutre block showcased their poems with enthusiasm and poise. The theme for the elocution was "Fairytales," and the students creatively spun their poems around this theme. To enhance the elocution experience, artwork and a PowerPoint presentation added a visually engaging element, making the theme come to life even more.
The occasion was honored by the presence of Mr. Samuel Jaideep, the school Principal, Dr. Uniyal, the Vice-Principal, Mrs. Annie Singh, Head of Academics, and Mrs. B. Biswas, the Junior School coordinator.
The competition featured two categories: Group and Individual elocution. Students were divided into two groups based on their classes: 3, 4, 5, and 6, 7, 8. In the Group elocution category, students collaborated to deliver a poem, blending their voices and interpretations into a cohesive and impactful performance. In the Individual elocution category, students delivered their poems independently, showcasing their personal understanding and speaking skills.
