Janmashtami, also known as Krishna Janmashtami or Gokulashtami, is a Hindu festival that celebrates the birth of Lord Krishna, the eighth avatar of Vishnu. It is celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm across India and is also celebrated in the Caribbean countries of Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica, and Suriname.
Janmashtami has immense significance for devotees because it is a day to remember the characteristics that Krishna took on when he manifested. It also reminds us that God rewards good over bad and spreads the message of love, joy, and virtue.
Cambrian Hall celebrated Janamashtami on 23rd August 24 with full enthusiasm. Children celebrated the day with vibrant craft work by decorating Matkis , flutes, and crowns followed by dance performances.
Students of classes Nursery and K.G. were dressed up in ethnical attire depicting Krishna , Radha, and Gopis.
Children have enjoyed each and every moment of the day.
Children were told about the significance of celebrating Janamashtami and the story of Krishna and his childhood tales.
